Houston Overall Statistics YTD 2005
· Single-family home sales were up in October by 9% in comparison to October 2004.
· Dollar volume sales in October were up by 15%, with $10,202,885,829.
· Average sales price was up in October 2005 over October 2004 by 5% and closed out at $186,931.
· Active listings October 2005 were 30,723, which represents a 5% change from last year.
· Contracts written October 2005 were up by 10% and there were 37,601single-family home
sales that went under contract.

Atascocita Area

· Sales are up in Atascocita by 196 units, which brought the total sales year-to-date to 1883 home sales. These figures represent a 11% increase in number of homes sales over this time last year.
· Contracts initiated October YTD 2005 are up by 16% with 1530 contracts initiated as compared to 1319 contracts initiated during the same time frame last year.
· Listings are up by 9% in Atascocita with 1,168 homes on the market as recorded in MLS in October 2005 compared with 1,076 homes on the market last year during the same time frame.
· Average sales price is up by 5% and currently stands at $154,483.
· Days on the market to sell a home in Atascocita have declined 4 days since October YTD 2004 and are currently 87 days on the market.



Bellaire South Area

-Single-family home sales in Bellaire South is the same as last year’s home sales with 995 home sales recorded October YTD 2004 and October YTD 2005.
